Each environment channel is converted to a 0–1 “load”: zero inside its comfortable band, rising linearly to 1 as the reading departs from the band by the falloff distance. The index is the weighted average of these loads, scaled to 0–100. Bands, falloffs and weights are product assumptions set in the page’s config — they are not medical thresholds.
